The walking tour includes eight walled gardens and the award winning
Massie School Garden, one of the Garden Club's community projects.
Different private gardens are selected each year for excellence of
design, historical interest and beauty.
Come through the iron gates and beyond the old gray brick walls to
enjoy the hidden garden pleasures beneath hundred-year-old oaks. Hostesses
at each garden greet visitors and point out special plants, garden
features, and interesting historical facts. Sparkling fountains, delightful
statues, and the brilliant blooms of Savannah's lovely springtime
are treasures to be found in the manicured gardens.
From 2-4pm daily ticket holders are invited to tour historical Harper
Fowlkes House and enjoy a southern tea in its beautiful garden.
General James Oglethorpe, founder of Savannah will be there to greet you.
